The food truck event last week down at the Historic Distillery District in Toronto was a major draw for event organizer Suresh Doss of Spotlight Toronto. There were two-hour line-ups for traditional items such as Gorilla Cheese’s grilled cheese sandwiches and grilled pizzas. I so wish I was there when it all went down but alas I was enjoying another wonderful event that I can’t seem to remember somewhere else in the city.
Apparently the food truck industry is and has been a major phenomenon south of the border for a few years now. I remember first reading about it in an article Men’s Health Journal ran about a year ago.
Check out the write-up in Toronto Life which is a great break down of the hottest culinary finds that tempted the palette of thousands. The kulfi with strawberry compote sounds tasty!
